I have been working with young people for around 5 years locally and in a international context. I worked in community outreach and also at a drug/alcohol rehab centre in Australia. On returning back to the UK in 2007 I worked as a family support worker and later as a professional youth worker specializing in work with young offenders. I am currently pioneering a new project at 2XL called VIP (Vision Inspired Project) working in partnership with the Hereford council and also co-ordinating an XLR8 project too.
Working with young people is a real honour, I understand the implications of the impact my involvement in their life can have and I take this responsibility seriously.
My strength lies in my ability to adapt to different personalities and characters engaging with individuals and groups. My determination to see every young person I work with reach their full potential has led me to work with the extreme cases. I refuse to except that any young person is a failure or is not able to achieve.
I have a bold, fearless approach towards young people, my in your face attitude is balance by compassion, empathy and a wild sense of humour.
