2XL was privileged to be awarded the High Sheriff Award for outstanding work in the community delivering positive projects, supporting young people throughout the county.
Bob Barnet, Hereford Police Inspector recommend 2XL for the award: "The Hereford-based youth organisation was presented with a High Sheriff's Award for their unique contribution to the communities of Herefordshire. Since its inception in 2001, 2XL have worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for children and young people in the county. Whilst they are a charity, they commission bespoke pieces of work that target youngsters in Herefordshire. Since it commenced, 2XL have completed projects such as XLR8, the Info Zone at Wyebridge Sports Academy, Elevate, The Theatre In Education initiative, Youth Action Groups, Crucial Crew and the Herefordshire Community Cadets – to name but a few. The energy, enthusiasm and commitment that 2XL brings to all its activities is excellent and they keep going and deliver…even when the money runs out!"
